Types of data we collect
When you visit www.urbangay.org we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
As part of the registration process for our e-newsletter, we collect personal information, such as your email-address. We use that information for a couple of reasons:
· to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about, such as news about urbangay, urbangay-related projects (such as the Quinta project) or new posts, books or workshops;
· to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information;
· to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied.
We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
The program we use to send out e-newsletters collects statistics about email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies. This helps us to monitor and improve our e-newsletter. Please remember that you can unsubscribe from our e-newsletter at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of the emails or by emailing us at email@example.com .
When you comment on a post, we collect personal data, such as your email or website address. We only use this to display the comment and we do not use this data in any other form.
Please note: We no longer operate a website membership program and all data related to previous memberships has been deleted.
When you purchase an electronic download, we collect personal data, such as your email address and name. We only use this to deliver the purchase to you, and will not use this in any other form. Any purchase will not automatically add you to our newsletter! If you wish to stay informed of new releases or news, we ask you to subscribe to the newsletter separately.
Access to your personal information
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Please email your request to our data protection officer Stephan Dahl at firstname.lastname@example.org
It will be reviewed again by the latest in May 2019.
